The Departure Lounge endeavours at all times not only to comply with the rules of the game, but to exceed regulatory expectations and provide you with a service that is professional, courteous, and above all, within the parameters of international best practice.

Business travel
Our services are focussed on providing support for your business travel, dedicated consultants or in-house services all managed with to the same  levels of customer care and personalised service.

Aircraft Charter
We are associated with reputable fixed wing and helicopter charter companies and can arrange all your requirements. We only contract to approved and licenced operators who maintain international standards and safety practices.

VISAS
Visas are required for most countries if you are traveling on a South African passport. The requirements and costs for visas change frequently. In order to ensure hassle free travel, please let The Departure Lounge assist with your visas. We can make sure you have the correct form to fill in, the list of latest requirements, what the costs will be and how long it will take. All you have to do is get everything to us, and we will make sure it gets to the relevant embassy and then returned to us on completion.

Travel Insurance
At The Departure Lounge we can arrange your travel insurance in minutes. You can do this right up until the day of travel. Please call on us and ask for details.

Flights – International and Domestic
The Departure Lounge is an IATA registered travel agency and therefore qualified to book flights world wide. We can assist with local and international bookings, as well as internet bookings worldwide. Call one of our consultants for a quote today.

Cruising Holidays
The Departure Lounge has recently formed great alliances with cruising companies in order to become a specialist in cruising. People who cruise expect a high quality of service once they board a ship - we would endeavor to give that service from the planning of the cruise all the way through to the return. We have a multitude of cruising brochures and cruise specials that come along, so if you need any further information – cruise with us!

Barging in Europe
What a great way to see the European countryside - at the pace you choose and without having to find accommodation along the way! Come and see us about our barging in Europe trips. They are great fun and we have consultants with first hand experience to share the knowledge and answer your questions.

Ski Packages
Ski Europe or USA – wherever you choose to hit the slopes, we can help. There are ski packages for beginners right through to advanced skiers. You can go for a week or go for two! Talk to us about ski specials.

Adventure Holidays
The Departure Lounge has a great relationship with Development Promotions who assist with GAP and Imaginative Traveller tours. These tours cover some of the more unusual destinations across the globe and incorporate tour guides who “really know their stuff”. The tour groups are always manageable sizes and you will come away from one of these tours with such great experiences, you’ll just want to do another one.
We can get a rep in to come and chat to you if you are thinking of doing any of the GAP or Imaginative Traveller tours. The reps have been on a lot of the tours and can give you first hand information.

Coach Tours
Trafalgar, Insight, Contiki, Top Deck, Budget Expeditions, Cosmos – you name it and we can help you book it. We stock brochures on all of these and on those we don’t we will find out more for you. Call in and pick up a brochure from us.

Car Hire
Domestic, regional and international car hire can be arranged through us. We do the shopping around for you to find the better deals.

Conditions may apply, subject to dates and availability. Unless differently stated holiday packages are per person sharing, flights included unless otherwise stated and shown. Flights depart from specified airports. Prices quoted apply to economy fare tickets except where stated. Total price includes base fare and approximate taxes. Approximate taxes include: airline/airport taxes, fuel surcharge, ACSA regulatory charges. Certain airports may charge a separate departure tax, which is only payable at the specific airport and can not be paid and collected in advance on your behalf. All fares and taxes are subject to change and currency fluctuation . Responsibility to ensure documention is correct such as visa's and passports validity remains with the customer. All tarriffs and rates quoted are subject to the terms and conditions of the operator or airline. Cancellation and refunds policies are subject to the policies of the airline and/or operator. TDL quotes are based on the those of the airline / operator who maintaiun the right to make changes. TDL cannot guarantee availablity or be held liable.
